FULFORD staved off a late Pocklington Town fightback to book their place in the last four of the York FA Intermediate (Junior) Under-14s Minor Cup.

The home side led 4-1 with ten minutes remaining, but the East Yorkshire side pulled back to 4-4, only for Harry Todd to win the match with his fourth goal for Fulford in the last minute.

Pock took an early lead, but it did not last long as Fulford drew level thanks to Todd’s first goal. Todd made it 2-1 before the break and completed his hat-trick shortly after the interval.

Star man Todd then laid on a goal for Ryan Watts, which appeared to have settled the third round tie.

However, Pocklington threw everyone forward and levelled with four minutes remaining.

Fulford managed to respond and Todd’s strike got them over the line.

Strensall Tigers secured a semi-final spot in the York FA Senior Minor (U16s) Cup with a 4-2 win at Fulford, and they will be joined by Tadcaster Magnets after their 3-2 victory over Rawcliffe Warriors.

It took penalties to separate York Cubs and Aviva in round three of the York FA Intermediate (Senior) U15s Minor Cup, with Cubs prevailing 3-1 on spot-kicks after the game finished 3-3.

York Cubs led 3-1 thanks to goals by Ed Chapman, Joe Palmer and Luke Emmerson.

However, Aviva battled back to parity in the last ten minutes to take the game to a shoot-out.

Cubs scored all three of their penalties, taken by Ed Chapman, Tom Smith and Dom Kitching, while goalkeeper Joe Palmer saved two of Aviva’s three to seal the win.

Bishopthorpe White Rose cruised into the last four with a 7-1 win at Haxby Town.

Tadcaster Albion were 4-0 winners at Easingwold Town in round three of the York FA Junior Minor (U13s) Cup.

Haxby Town Lions hit the woodwork three times in their 2-0 home defeat by Rawcliffe Raiders in the York FA Acaster Steel (U12s) Junior Cup.

Raiders scored their opener on 12 minutes when Dan Moll side-footed home. Following heavy Rawcliffe pressure, left-back Joshua Nelson-Depa ran the length of the field to make the game safe with ten minutes to go.

Poppleton Tigers are through to the semi-finals of the York FA U11s Junior Cup after a 2-0 home win over Dunnington.

The Tigers went 1-0 up through Hamish McArthur on 20 minutes and they doubled their lead after the break thanks to Dan Mirth.

Tadcaster Magnets Blues edged past visitors Heworth 3-2, while Pocklington Town stormed through with an 8-1 win at Stamford Bridge.

Six delayed ties are due to take place tomorrow as the semi-final line-ups begin to take shape.
