WHILE I understand why the Archbishop Of York might have wished to become Archbishop of Canterbury, I hope he will be comforted by the many people in our area who are grateful we will keep this wonderful man.
I am not a religious person at all, but since I came to live in York I have had the delight and privilege to meet this man. He is so in touch with people from all walks of life, believers and non-believers, that I am sure many others will feel as I do.
Thank you for the person you are, John – just keep doing the good work you do, recognition will come on a wider scale eventually. In the meantime we value you maybe more than you know.
Margaret Vince, Braham Grove, Acomb, York.
