Flying Ducks Youth Theatre will present the “hottest musical” of 2012 in York: Summer Holiday.

The York company’s exuberant show will run from March 29 to 31 with a cast of 40 talented performers, aged between 12 and 17.

More immediately, Flying Ducks need your help with three matters, the first being their search for key members of the production team.

“We’re looking for anyone who can put themselves forward as a musical director or assistant choreographer,” says director Steve Padfield. “We’re a registered charity that provides a weekly session for a great bunch of kids, who have a real enthusiasm for drama.”

Anyone who is interested in either role should phone Steve on 01904 764122.

Company founder and artistic director Stephen Outhwaite is in charge of tracking down bus parts for the all-important London bus backdrop. If you have a steering wheel, bus seats and wing mirror, or similar items, please phone him on 01904 761806.

Now comes the biggest request of all from Sue Blanchard.

“We’re seeking a full-sized London bus for publicity shots and a possible tour around York,” she says.

“Call me on 01904 761210 if you have one you can spare.”
