Gemma Maclean, Alan Bowles, Charlotte Gibson, Daniel Whitley and Kerry O’Dowd are five singers who are Mad About The Musicals.
In Thursday’s two-hour show at the Grand Opera House, York, they perform more than 20 songs from Les Miserables, The Phantom Of The Opera, Miss Saigon, Sunset Boulevard, Chicago, Oliver!, Starlight Express and more West End and Broadway hits besides. Numbers from The Blues Brothers, Half A Sixpence and Spamalot add humour to the 7.30pm show.
Maclean has starred on the London stage as Meat in We Will Rock You; Bowles has appeared in pantomime, sung on cruise ships and appeared in musicals such as Tangled Lives and the Magnificent Musicals alongside Ruthie Henshall; and Gibson has toured as the principal singer with Cirque du Soleil, Broadway Boulevard and Face The Music.
Whitley played Tom Thumb in the West End production of Barnum; O’Dowd has sung at Buckingham Palace and the Royal Albert Hall. Tickets: £12 to £18 on 0844 847 2322.
