WHAT are the funny goings-on at Treasurers's House in York?

The Grand Opera House has sent a team in to sort it out, in advance of Bill Kenwright's Classic Thriller Theatre Company bringing Edgar Wallace's feisty thriller The Case Of The Frightened Lady to York this summer.

Here Emily Thane, left, Rachel Alexander-Hill and Alice Tones, from the Cumberland Street theatre, are pictured acting out the play's storyline of an investigation of a ruthless murder that will uncover a shocking and closely guarded secret.

Film star Oliver Phelps is making his stage debut as Sergeant Totti in the touring production, having played George Weasley in the long-running Harry Potter film franchise from the age of 15. He is joined in the cast by Deborah Grant, Gray O’Brien, Denis Lill, Philip Lowrie, April Pearson, Ben Nealon and Glenn Carter.

The Case Of The Frightened Lady will run in York from July 9 to 14; tickets are on sale on 0844 871 3024 or at atgtickets.com/york.
