DO you believe in ghosts? Be prepared to do so when Harrogate Theatre's 2's Company Festival presents Haunt tomorrow andl Saturday.

Developed by working with writers who have experienced homelessness in Harrogate, and based on words from the Haunt anthology and material shown in the Royal Pump Rooms as part of Harrogate Stories, Haunt is a guided journey that arrives at a place where images, music, words and performance combine to ask: Who are the haunted? Who are the ghosts?

At 2pm each day, you are invited to set out on a ghost walk with a difference, to hear and see the stories that haunt Harrogate; some familiar, some untold, concealed as the sulphur and chalybeate that run in waters beneath the streets.

You will learn of a child with polio; an actress; a dragon; a pregnant girl in the Swinging Sixties; the Empress Consort of Russia and a hotel porter: ghosts of a town, past and present.

Written by Steve Toase, Becky Cherriman and the Haunt Writers and directed by Tessa Gordziejko, Haunt features music and sound design by Kwah, projections and lighting design by Al Orange and movement by Zoe Parker and Tom Hunt.

The performances will be suitable for families and include a tour of the Royal Pump Rooms Museum, from where the ghost-walkers will set off. Family tickets are available at the special price of £20 to cover two adults and up to three children and places can be booked on 01423 502116 or at harrogatetheatre.co.uk

Please note, as the show is a walking tour, audience members are advised to bring a water bottle and suitable footwear. The tour is accessible for wheelchairs and prams and lasts approximately 80 to 90 minutes.

Haunt is supported by Arts Council England, The Scurrah Wainwright Trust and Two Ridings Community Foundation Arts for Change Fund.
