PURRFORMERS from York will be part of a 3,000-strong cast putting on the largest-ever staging of Cats.
Sixty students from Stagecoach York have been busy practising for the performance at the Birmingham Indoor Arena on Sunday.
Part-time theatre school network Stagecoach Theatre Arts is celebrating its 25th anniversary with the epic performance of the world-renowned musical.
Exclusive permission has been given by Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Really Useful Group for the extensive arena production, with thousands of performers from Stagecoach schools nationally and internationally taking part.
Sally Thrussell, principal of Stagecoach York, said: “Everyone is very excited to be taking part in such a fantastic event. It will be one students will never forget. Our students will perform the song and dance Mr Mistoffelees close to the finale of the show.”
