Former EastEnders star Daniella Westbrook has said she is checking into rehab.
The actress, who struggled with cocaine use, has said she wants a chance at a “drug-free life”.
Westbrook, who played Samantha Mitchell in EastEnders, was gripped by an addiction which left her scarred.
She has posted on Twitter revealing that once again she is seeking help, and has received it from her “mate” Jeremy Kyle.
Westbrook revealed online that she had filmed for the show, and been sent on a three-month rehab stint by the programme’s presenter.
In a Twitter post she said: “First day on a 10 week program which will change my life make me strong and give me the tools too never feel the way I’ve felt the last four years … I’m never looking back.”
She added for her Twitter followers: “For those of you asking my good mate Jezza had me on his show which is being Aired in the morning & has kindly sent me 2 rehab for 3 months. I’m grateful & excited 2 have the chance 2 get the drug free life I had for 14 years back. Thank u 4 ur support.”
Westbrook’s extensive cocaine use led to the erosion of her nasal septum, and she received surgery to repair the damage.
The Jeremy Kyle Show’s Twitter account has told fans not to miss the next show, which will feature Westbrook.
