THE sunshine and exuberance of Spain will shine down on Prestatyn, Rhyl and Llandudno Junction to warm up those winter nights in a hot-blooded take on the world’s first novel.

Cervantes’ game changing 1605 masterpiece Don Quixote will be interpreted as sparkling ballet when the Royal Opera House screens live to Vue and the Scala on Tuesday, February 19.

The story follows Don Quixote and his faithful squire Sancho Panza on their picaresque journey to do deeds in honour of his imaginary noble lady, Dulcinea.

Sunny, charming, funny and touching - Don Quixote is a ballet as full of uplifting emotion as it is of astonishing ballet technique, choreographed by Marius Petipa.

His vibrant staging brings together the whole company in such roles as high-spirited villagers, passionate gypsies and even fantasy flowers.

Warmth, charm and entertainment will surely abound in this energetic and witty ballet on Tuesday, February 19 at 7.15pm.
