Red swimming costume: check. Blonde hair: check. Sexy run along the beach: check. The new Baywatch movie has finally cast its CJ Parker, with Kelly Rohrbach taking on the role made famous by Pamela Anderson.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who is also set to star, welcomed her to the cast and shared videos of him putting her through her paces.
Alongside a video of her jogging on the beach, he wrote: “I had to make sure @kellyrohrbach was ridiculously sexy running in SLO-MO….”
In another shot, the two run along the beach to the theme music from Chariots of Fire – before he pushes her over and gleefully runs off while the music switches to Drake’s Hotline Bling.
He explains: “For our #BAYWATCH and the iconic role of ‘CJ Parker’ I had to make sure @kellyrohrbach was… tough.”
This will be the first major role for the Sports Illustrated swimsuit model-turned-actress, who will play the 1990s’ most famous lifeguard.
The Rock is a producer on the film as well as one of its stars – with Alexandra Daddario and Zac Efron also lined up for the reboot.
Introducing Kelly as CJ, The Rock wrote: “Yes, she’s a walking smoke stack but more importantly… she’s smart, tough and funny.
“Just the way we like ‘em. Get ready world, we can’t wait to bring you our generation’s #BAYWATCH! You’ll have fun…”
Kelly, who recently dated Leonardo DiCaprio, has previously starred in The PET Squad Files and had small roles in Two and a Half Men and Deadbeat.
But Pamela Anderson may not approve of the recasting, as she told TMZ last year: “No-one appreciates remakes.”
The Baywatch movie is expected in 2017.
