David and Victoria Beckham took their kids for a bank holiday outing – punting on the River Cam in Cambridge.
The Beckham’s caused quite a stir on the river, with another group of punters crashing into their boat as they tried to get a snap of the famous family in the boats next to them.
Georgia Tomkins, 21, from Hertfordshire, was punting with a group for her friend’s 21st birthday when they bumped into David Beckham’s punt.
She told the Cambridge News: “One of my friends had realised who it was but the guy that was doing our punt hadn’t. One of his sons was controlling their punt at the time and that was who she had recognised first.
“I couldn’t believe it. He was smiling at us and he was very courteous.”
David also took a turn at steering the boat, as he showed off on his Instagram page.
And messing about in boats wasn’t the only thing the Beckhams did while there were in the historic university city.
They also went to meet Professor Stephen Hawking.
Brooklyn posted a picture of himself with the famous scientist online and captioned it: “What an honour to meet Stephen Hawking. Such an inspiring afternoon.”
