Calvin Harris has made his debut in a list of the top 40 music millionaires – headed by Sir Paul McCartney.
The Scottish DJ is a new entry in The Sunday Times Rich List, having amassed an estimated £70 million fortune at the tender age of 31.
Coldplay share a £208 million fortune while Irish rockers U2 share £431 million.
Calvin had already claimed the title of the world’s highest paid DJ.
But the Dumfries-born DJ and producer, whose track Summer was the number one iTunes download in 40 countries and who clocked up more than a billion streams on Spotify, is now wealthier than Coldplay star Chris Martin (£52 million), Sir Cliff Richard (£55 million), Kylie Minogue (£55 million) and Take That’s Gary Barlow (£65 million), according to his ranking on the list.
Former Beatle Sir Paul has a personal fortune of £730 million – £20 million up from last year – retaining the number one spot.
Macca is well ahead of his nearest rival Andrew Lloyd Webber, who is estimated to be worth £650 million, despite not having had a UK number one single in decades.
Sir Paul’s fortune is given a significant boost by his wife Nancy Shevell, who has a £150 million stake in her family’s US trucking business.
Sir Elton John and Sir Mick Jagger are said to be worth £270 million and £225 million respectively.
Also in the chart is Engelbert Humperdinck whose 2012 Eurovision failure has not dented his financial success, with his fortune estimated at £65 million.
The full Rich List, a 128-page guide to the 1,000 richest people in the UK and 250 wealthiest in Ireland, is published on Sunday.
