Madonna has returned to Malawi and paid a visit to the orphanage where she adopted her daughter Mercy James.
The Material Girl star, who adopted two children from Malawi – son David Banda and Mercy – chose to spend her Thanksgiving holiday in the African country.
The 56-year-old singer posted photos of her visit on Twitter, which included images of some of the residents at Kondanani orphanage, and staff at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital in Blantyre.
The mum-of-four also shows off her childish side with daughter Mercy, while she is snapped playing with some children in other photos.
The singer is thought to be in the country for her charity, Raising Malawi, which was founded in 2006 and supports community-based projects. Her visit is believed to be the first since her row with the country’s former president Joyce Banda 18 months ago.
