As we stood and looked around the 5,000 sellout arena at Dalby Forest, the sun was shining for the first time in ages.
The evening kicked off with the amazing and talented warm up act, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, whose vocals were faultless as she blasted out her big hit, Murder On The Dance Floor.
It was a great start to the night with the crowd on their feet, dancing and singing.
Sophie announced at the end of her set that this was her last night on the tour which she had enjoyed being part of, before revealing it was her anniversary and left the stage to join her husband, leaving us waiting for the main act to appear.
And, oh boy, did Andy and Vince make an entrance with Andy’s black sequined jacket catching the lighting perfectly.
The crowd raptured into screams and whistles when he broke into song and danced his way along the stage with the entire audience joining in. The memories came flooding back when he sang songs such as Blue Savannah and Little Respect.
He also introduced us to some new songs from Erasure’s latest album Tomorrow’s World, which I believe is out in autumn. A fantastic evening was had by all. Twenty five years and still going strong.
