AMERICAN drummer to the stars Greg Grainger will give a drum clinic in York on Thursday evening at Gear4Music, Unit 2, Great North Way, York Business Park.
Grainger has played in Whitney Houston’s band for three years and is a regular with Santana, Buddy Guy and Paul Rodgers. At present, he is the drummer for the Grammy Award-winning Acoustic Alchemy, who have sold six million albums in the United States, and he will be joined at the clinic by fellow band members, most notably York guitarist Miles Gilderdale.
Miles is a luminary of the York music scene, having made his name in Zoot and The Roots and The Blueflies, and he still lives in the city when not touring the USA with his smooth jazz band.
Admission to Thursday’s 7pm clinic is free but by ticket only, available from the website Gear4Music.com
