The Occasion Choir presents Glory To God, Music and Words from George Frideric Handel’s Messiah, at St Edward the Confessor Church, Tadcaster Road, Dringhouses, on Saturday evening.
The choir will be conducted by Yvonne Robert and accompanied by organist Nicholas Page, with broadcaster John Crosse as the guest reader, in a 7.30pm concert to mark the 250th anniversary of the composer’s death.
Tickets, which include a glass of wine, cost £6.50 on 01904 701652 or 701459 or on the door and proceeds will go to the church and choir funds.
The choir raised £800 for St Leonard’s Hospice at a concert in Bishopthorpe in February.
