STEVE Womack, singer, songwriter, guitarist, comedian, after-dinner speaker and New Faces winner, performs a comedy cabaret night at The Red Lion country inn, Boroughbridge Road, Upper Poppleton, York, tomorrow.
"The Red Lion is proud and pleased to present such an entertainer," says manager Mark Lee. "Steve had his own TV and radio shows and he's not normally seen in venues like this, but he and I ran a corporate entertainment agency together back in the Nineties, sourcing entertainers for companies such as Coca Cola, 3M, P&O, Tesco and even the Conservative Party.
"Steve and I remain best mates and he was best man at my wedding. He generally gigs at the Red Lion once a year. "
