LAST Thursday's performance of Giacomo Puccini's opera Madama Butterfly at the Grand Opera House, York, fell victim to the Beast from the East, but a new date has been arranged promptly for Tuesday, March 13.
Ellen Kent's production for Opera and Ballet International features international sopranos Maria HeeJung Kim, from the Korean National Opera, and Alyona Kistenyova, a chorus, full orchestra, a spectacular Japanese garden and antique wedding kimonos.
If ticket holders are able to attend, their tickets will be valid for Tuesday's 7.30pm performance and will transfer automatically to that night. Those unable to be there should return their tickets to the Cumberland Street theatre's box office any time up to 48 hours before the show for a refund.
Tickets for Puccini's heartbreaking story of the beautiful Japanese girl who falls in love with an American naval lieutenant are still available on 0844 871 3024 or at atgtickets.com/york.
