PAVLO Beznosiuk, virtuoso pianist, and Avison Ensemble, musical director leader, will play solo sonatas and partitas by JS Bach next Friday at St Michael's Church, Coxwold, in a 7.30pm concert entitled Bach's Lyre.
The performance has been arranged in association with the Laurence Sterne Trust as an addition to the Avison Ensemble's regular concert season.
Beznosiuk will perform three unaccompanied Bach works, Toccata and Fugue in D minor, Partita no. 2 in D minor and Sonata in C Major, and a lesser known but no less revolutionary composition, J J Vilsmayr's Suite in A Major.
