BEVERLEY Folk Festival in miniature takes place on Saturday in Swaby’s Yard, Beverley, between Saturday Market and Walkergate.
East Yorkshire singers and musicians associated with the festival will be playing in Swaby’s Yard between 12 noon and 4pm as a curtain-raiser for this year’s annual festival on Beverley Racecourse.
Taking part too in Saturday's taster will be young performers from the festival’s development programme, The Westwood Sessions, plus a few surprise guests.
Festival organisers will be manning a stall in Saturday Market on the same day as part of the promotional build-up to the big event on June 19 to 21, when the 80 acts will include Seth Lakeman, Ralph McTell, Barbara Dickson, Hayseed Dixie, Peatbog Faeries, comedian Patrick Monahan and crime writer Mark Billingham.
An extra concert before the festival will feature The Bootleg Beatles at Beverley Racecourse on June 18. For tickets and more information, visit beverleyfestival.com
