WELSH harmony-singing brothers Richard and Adam are heading for York on their second British tour.
After making their name by finishing third on the seventh series of ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent in 2013, classical singers Richard and Adam Johnson sold out their debut tour, playing to 15,000 people. Their debut album, The Impossible Dream, spent four weeks at the top of the charts, making it the longest-running number one album in Britain in 2013 en route to sales of more than one million.
On their follow-up tour, Richard & Adam At The Movies, the boys from Holywell, North Wales, escape into the world of their silver-screen favourites to perform such numbers as Can You Feel The Love Tonight, Goldfinger, Moon River, I’m Kissing You from William Shakespeare’s Romeo + Juliet and Kiss From A Rose from Batman.
Their special guest will be Sophie Evans, the Welsh singer and actress who came to prominence in 2010 when she was runner-up in the BBC series Over The Rainbow. She was later chosen by Lord Lloyd-Webber to play the alternate Dorothy in The Wizard Of Oz at the London Palladium, a role she eventually took over full time.
Richard & Adam At The Movies, York Barbican, tomorrow, 7.30pm. Tickets are on sale at £27.50 and £23.50 on 0844 854 2757 or at yorkbarbican.co.uk
