CITY Screen, York, is inviting the world and its mum this Mothering Sunday to see a new digital restoration of the classic The Sound Of Music (U), starring Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer, at midday.
As a further Mothering Sunday treat, the Picturehouse cinema is offering a glass of English sparkling wine and a box of speciality chocolates for a further £8.50. "Don't be a lonely goatherd, come along to Coney Street at noon on Sunday for a musical feast," said marketing manager Dave Taylor.
"For those who miss out, City Screen is now repeating its Vintage Sundays films on Thursdays as matinée performances at 10.45am. So, now you have two bites of the cherry."
Tickets can be booked on 0871 902 5726 or at
