ARTIST Jim Orme’s paintings are to go on display at the York College Gallery from October 8 to November 3 in an exhibition named What Remains.
The painter, who taught fine art at the college from 1986 until 1999, draws inspiration from the “traces” we leave behind.
“Traces are everywhere,” said Jim.
“A piece develops over a considerable length of time and is subjected to numerous processes. It assumes a life of its own – in other words, it is what remains.”
Admission is free.
