YORK printmakers Mark Hearld, Emily Sutton and Michael Kirkman are taking part in The Prints of the Penfold Press, An Exhibition of Original Printmaking at The Gallery at Hornseys, Kirkgate, Ripon.
This show features new original prints by this trio, plus Ed Kluz and Jonny Hannah, all of them commissioned and published by Daniel Bugg and printed at his Penfold Press in York.
The work includes the first prints in Bugg’s Pub Sign Project, namely Sutton’s The Good Queen Bess, Kirkman’s The George And Dragon and Hannah’s The Slaughtered Lamb.
A, B and C of Sutton’s Alphabet series, two new linocuts from Kirkman, rare Kluz proofs and other assorted oddities are on display too.
The exhibition will run until Christmas.
