Charlotte Inch has joined The Gallery at Hornseys, in Kirkgate, Ripon, to head up the development of new projects.

Charlotte, 24, from York, is a History of Art and Museum Studies graduate who studied at the Universities of Leeds and Bradford and has an MA from Leeds.

Her experience includes time working at her mother’s bookshop, Janette Ray Books in York, as well as at a York gallery, at Liberty’s in London and in the archives of her old school, Bootham. Also a keen cook, she has spent time working in a Paris bakery.

Charlotte will be instrumental in setting up a major new project – as yet unspecified – at The Gallery and in running it when it starts later this year. At present she is working alongside gallery owner Daniel Hornsey in the planning process.

“I know that there will be a lot of hard work ahead, but that will be good,” she says. “I’m really looking forward to preparing for this exciting development and helping to take it forward.”

Daniel says: “We’re looking to launch the new venture in the early summer, and Charlotte is a key part of our planning. Her many skills will prove very valuable to The Gallery and to building on our success as one of the region’s most innovative centres for contemporary art and crafts.”
