HERE comes another Malcolm Ludvigsen show. The prolific north eastern professor is showing oil paintings of the rugged Yorkshire coast at the Treasurer's House, York, until May 8.
Louise Horsfield, the visitor services manager, says: "Malcolm's paintings capture the wide open spaces, fresh air and salt spray of Yorkshire's coastline with immediacy. He has called his exhibition Mostly Seaside En Plein-Air as he works in the open air, directly in front of his subject.
"The result is paintings with true vibrancy and vitality in which you can really lose yourself. The gallery will be filled with the essence of the coast, even though we're 50 miles inland."
Gallery opening hours are 11am to 4.30pm daily except Fridays; free admission.
