WHITBY artist Keith Blessed is exhibiting his pastels at Grays Court, Chapter House, Street, York until October 1.
Yorkshire’s East Coast and Moors are a constant source of inspiration to Keith, in particular the differing moods and the play of light.
“Light is a very important part of my work, from the brilliant to the moody and threatening, from the windswept moors to the flash of light on fishing boats sat on wet mud,” says Keith.
He has exhibited widely, most notably as a member of the Pastel Society of Australia and with the Pastel Society of Ireland.
Coming next in his diary is an exhibition of new paintings at the Staithes Art Festival, on the Yorkshire coast, on September 13 and 14.
