PHOTOGRAPHY runs in the family for Adam Rosenbach, who is holding an exhibition at Grays Court, Chapter House Street, York, until the end of November.

Born in Israel, Adam now lives in York, where his goal is “quite simply to take high quality, interesting pictures and share them with others”.

“Photography is very much in Adam’s veins, having learned that, during the Second World War, his mother’s two cousins survived by taking portrait pictures of Russian officers and photographing the Red Army,” says Grays Court events co-ordinator Rhiannon Heraty.

“The odd, the interesting and the downright peculiar appeal to Adam and he tries to find beauty in the most unlikely of scenes. Nature is incredibly important to him – skies, water, flowers and animals are of particular significance.”

By way of contrast, this summer Adam photographed the events of Ryedale Festival.

“With exhibitions in several art galleries and institutions in Europe under his belt, Grays Court is proud to host his current work,” says Rhiannon.

Admission is free.
