THE season of Edinburgh Fringe previews at The Other Side Comedy Club in York continues with Mark Watson and Jim Jeffries on Sunday.

Cambridge Footlights graduate Mark Watson, winner of the Daily Telegraph Open Mic Award in 2002, is a wiry Bristol comic with a Welsh accent and a nervous outlook on life.

This year he has two Edinburgh shows in the Pleasance Courtyard: I'm Worried That I'm Starting To Hate Almost Everyone In The World, from August 3 to 28, and the literary/ performance interactive experiment Mark Watson, And His Audience, Write A Novel, on various dates between August 6 and 27.

Australian-born Jim Jeffries applies a brash, confrontational performance style to his fantastically filthy comedy. Charming one minute, offensive the next, he will be showcasing The Second Coming, his "morally bankrupt" Edinburgh gig bound for a late-night Underbelly slot from August 3 to 27.

Doors open at 7.30pm for Sunday's 8pm show in the City Screen basement bar. Tickets: £7, concessions £6, from the box office, phone 08707 583219.
