STEVE Bugeja, winner of the 2013 BBC Radio New Comedy Award, headlines tonight’s Punchline Comedy Club at Pocklington Arts Centre with support from Julian Deane and Gareth Richards.
Bugeja was a finalist in the Amused Moose and Laughing Horse new act competitions, supported Russell Kane on his 2013/14 Smallness national tour and performs at comedy clubs across the country.
He is a prolific writer for others too, contributing material to the television shows Mock The Week, 8 Out Of 10 Cats and Russell Howard’s Good News.
Julian Deane, a former So You Think You're Funny semi-finalist, first performed stand-up in 2005, while Gareth Richards, a Foster’s Edinburgh Comedy Award Best Newcomer nominee in 2010, co-hosted Frank Skinner’s Absolute Radio show for two years and supported Skinner on his 2014 tour.
