I SEE that the old Remain warriors have at last, like Napoleon’s Old Guard at Waterloo, been brought into the Brexit fray. But I fear that they have not been properly briefed.

One morning recently I watched in astonishment an interview with a certain Nick Clegg in which he railed rather incoherently against Brexiteers for having broken a long list of promises; which I must admit I do not recollect as such.

My point is that the dogged fight by Whitehall from the Prime Minister down aided by panjandrums in industry and all the organisations in receipt of EU subsidies (ie our money) has so far thwarted any attempt to actually achieve Brexit. Therefore any benefits have yet to be derived.
