OFTEN a critic of the City of York Council, what a brilliant idea to bring the pop-up Shakespeare’s Rose Theatre to York.
I, together with my grandson, attended a recent performance of Macbeth.
Great venue, fine and enthusiastic actors, well organised and worth every penny.
But ah, ‘is this a dagger I see before me?’ There were many teenagers in attendance to see at first hand an examination subject. So why oh why do the food court have to charge £2 for a can of coke, when you can buy a multi pack in most supermarkets for 45p a can? I expected city centre prices, the food is reasonable as is most of the alcoholic beverages. Is this, ‘a tale full of sound and fury’ as told by an idiot?
