I WONDER if any of your readers are as perplexed as I am at the moment?

We are constantly bombarded with appeal adverts on TV from actors, actresses, celebrities etc for our help in financing blankets for the children in war-ravaged areas such as Syria.

Every November there is a massive nationwide appeal called Children In Need, in which millions of pounds are raised. Are these poor children in Syria not regarded as children in need, desperately requiring warmth and comfort?

Surely some of the millions of pounds held by the Children In Need fund could be sent to them? Or are there special criteria which bar them from being recipients?

I sincerely hope not.
