A WONDERFUL skyline after sunset in Malton, with lamps, chimneys and aerials silhouetted against a darkening sky; low winter sunlight striking on mossy rocks and tree-trunks during a woodland walk; and early Spring snowdrops and crocuses providing a splash of welcome colour in Dean’s Park. Just some of the great photos making up this week’s spread by members of The Press Camera Club.
Club members have clearly been out and about, ranging as far afield as Robin Hood’s Bay, Filey Brigg and Burythorpe - where Ian Jones got his wonderful panoramic view of the church nestling deep in the midst of the rolling landscape.
The camera club has close to 900 members now - all posting photos regularly on the club’s Facebook page, sharing tips, advice and suggestions - and seeing their work published regularly in the pages of The Press and on our website.
So if you fancy yourself as a bit of a photographer (or want to challenge yourself to improve) and would like to see your work on these pages, why not join now? Just go to Facebook, search for the Press Camera Club, and sign up. It’s free. And there’s still time to enter this month’s competition - themed #afterdark...
