Pictured above, September 1979, Mr Peter Rhodes, president of York FA presents the Yorkshire Herald and Evening Press Challenge Cup to the Nags Head (Askham Bryan) capt, David Jones after the final against FC Melrose on the RI ground. Goals from Mick Kenyon after five minutes gave Askham victory, though there might have been a different story if Andy Leaning hadn’t pulled off a magnificent second minute save.
