VENTURING into York for the first since the partial reopening of high street stores and business.
The town was not overly busy and the people keeping to the social distancing , the queuing into shops were in well organized and in the people in good spirits.
The only downside of the experience was the shoppers effectively blocking the gang-ways and aisles by standing and fiddling on their mobile phones.
I understand some people keep their shopping requirements on their phones, but what's a problem with the old- fashioned shopping list?
Apart from social distancing it would be a good idea if no mobile phones were to be used in store, in particular in supermarkets and food stores and should be banned.
