YOUR letter writer who believes that our country is disliked in France and Germany has point. Past history seems to be affecting Brexit.
France was always our traditional enemy from the days when we ruled parts of France, whereas the Scots always went to France when hunted in their own country. Germany was our opponent in two world wars and now seeks to dominate Europe and us by industrial means.
I look forward to a ban on the import of Alfa Romeos, BMWs, Citroen, Fiats, Mercedes, Renaults and VWs, although Clifton Moorgate will look rather deserted. Perhaps Paul Hepworth can fill the space with bicycles?

Scotland would be bankrupt without us
THANK heavens the SNP only speak for the minority of Scots. Without the financial input from the rest of the UK they would soon have the begging bowl out to stop them becoming bankrupt.
