I WRITE regarding the letter from Mrs Mary Morton (The Press, May 7) with regard to wood smoke from wood burning fires in the Hobmoor Drive area.
There should be no wood burning, or smoke from any burning of waste, in a number of areas of York.
I believe that many areas were dedicated smokeless zones as early as the 1970s.
