MANUFACTURER Ellis, of Rillington, near Malton, has received approval from the London Underground (LUL) for its Phoenix range of fireproof cable cleats.
Andrew Booth, development manager of Ellis, said: “Maintaining the London Underground network is a multi-million- pound process, which involves hundreds of different projects every year.
“As a manufacturer for the electrical industry we feel it is imperative that all our suitable products can be considered for these jobs, and to do so they have to receive LUL approval. While this can be a lengthy process, it is always worth the effort.”
