THREE new start-up businesses have set up in the Springboard incubator at the University of York after its original tenants “graduated” to its bigger neighbour, The Catalyst.

Compact CAD, which offers design and simulation services to the electronics industry; advertising and marketing group Crowd Bait and online lifestyle business No Cigar, have taken room at the incubator for start-up businesses, run by York Science Park within the Ron Cooke Hub.

Meanwhile, social media monitoring businesses Yatterbox and Insighlytics, online probate business The Law Wizard, innovation and design-led company Inclusive Innovations and Ian Walker & Co Chartered Accountants have moved into the park’s Catalyst.

Tracey Smith, managing director of York Science Park, says, “It has been fantastic to witness these businesses develop over the past year; from the very early start-up ideas that they brought with them when they moved into Springboard, to the more established and flourishing businesses that they have now become as they move into our larger space in The Catalyst.”
