BARCLAYS bank is holding a series of business lending clinics to get small businesses to think about borrowing to invest for growth.

It is hoped one of the events in York, which will take place on Thursday at Barclays branch at 1-3 Parliament Street, between 5pm and 7pm, will attract about 30 local businesses.

Barclays business people will answer key questions on lending, and walk businesses through the loan application process, with alternative finance providers on-hand to provide a fully rounded picture of all the financial options available.

Local businesses will also have the opportunity to tackle senior bank leaders head-on about the barriers to borrowing they feel that they face.
