YORK’S entrepreneurs and enterprising employees are to inspire the city’s children to get involved with York Business Week on November 14 to 18.
Enterprise ambassadors, including Simon Long and Phil Benson, co-founders of “good food” company Xing, in Shambles, will take an enterprise roadshow to all ten secondary schools in York, as well as Applefields Special School.
They will hold Inspiring Enterprise Assemblies for all Year 9, Year 10 and some Year 11 students, almost 3,500 young people.
Learning City York 14 to 19 Partnership, which is managing the roadshow during what is also Global Entrepreneurship Week, is looking for more dynamic 20 to 30-year-olds to go into schools and deliver a short Inspiring Enterprise Assembly about their career and enterprise journey to date.
