A YORK healthcare provider has been voted the most trusted of its type in the UK after scooping a national award.
Benenden Healthcare Society, based Holgate Park Drive, claimed the accolade at the Moneywise Most Trusted and Customer Service Awards, beating off competition from the likes of BUPA.
The not-for-profit organisation was founded 116 years ago and has had its home in York since 1990, with a membership of more than 930,000 and 160 employees, and provides healthcare services to public sector workers and their families as well as to charities, credit unions and other bodies.
It was also named Large Business of the Year at last year’s The Press Business Awards.
