A NORTH Yorkshire holiday letting business put up for sale at £1.85 million has found a buyer.

Colliers International, acting on behalf of the retiring owners, Simon and Valerie Cranmer Gordon, has sold Paradise Lakeside Lodges in Storwood, near Wheldrake, to Anthony and Fiona Ellis.

Paradise Lakeside Lodges operates as a holiday letting business consisting of ten timber lodges. Its 15 acres already has planning permission for a further 11 lodges.

Included in the package was a substantial detached house and two coarse fishing ponds.

Catering for the short-stay market, the business has delivered year-on-year profits with average occupancy at 63 per cent and an annual income of about £130,000. Richard Moss, head of parks at Colliers International in Leeds, said: “Unsurprisingly we received a lot of interest in the site, because it is extremely well located as well as being a profitable business.”
