GO OUTDOORS, the outdoor equipment retailer which has just expanded into York, has received £28 million investment from private equity firm 3i.
The investment for a significant minority stake in the Sheffield-based business is to fund its further expansion.
Go Outdoors opened in the former Homebase site in Foss Bank earlier this month, creating 45 new jobs.
The retailer currently has 30 stores, which it plans to expand to 70 over the next four years.
