A FIRM in York is officially provider of the fastest broadband Internet in the city.
York Data Services, based at York Science Park, has been given the rating by Speedtest.net, the independent leader in measuring broadband connection speeds.
The independent speed-testing website gives the company the top spot for delivering an average speed of 21.38 Mb, plus five stars for customer satisfaction. Mark Fordyce, York Data Services managing director, said: “We work hard to ensure our customers receive the very best service in the industry, so we are delighted to be officially recognised as the fastest provider of Internet connectivity in York, something our customers experience on a daily basis.”
York Data Services’ ongoing investment in bringing large-scale fibre connectivity to the region has made them instrumental in attracting and retaining some of York’s most prestigious businesses. Andy Gardner, managing director of Highlander Ltd, the IT training specialist based on the York Science Park, said: “We have found the consistent high Internet speeds and service that York Data services provide are exceptional and fully support the high demands we need in today’s market.”
