SHEPHERD Engineering Services, the York-based building services company, is sponsoring a new kit for All Saints’ RC School’s senior boys’ football team.
The donation forms part of a long-standing partnership between the firm and the neighbouring school in Mill Mount. Handing over the new kit, Jim Marner, SES’s divisional director for the north, said: “Community engagement and local sponsorships are important components of our marketing and business strategies. Our close associations with schools like All Saints’ RC School, help raise the awareness of our company in the local area and ultimately helps to attract the next generation of our workforce.”
The new kit, emblazoned with the SES logo, will be worn by the sixth-formers’ football team who kicked off their 2010 season with a match against Trinity College from Doncaster in the English Schools Cup.
The team is hoping to have a repeat of last year, when they were crowned North Yorkshire County Champions.
