A NEW tap room and a kitchen refurbishment are on the menu at a North Yorkshire gastropub now that it has been acquired by its tenants.
Chef Of The Year 2008 Ashley McCarthy and his wife Kelly have bought the freehold of Ye Old Sun Inn at Colton, between York and Tadcaster.
York solicitors Burn & Co advised the couple on the acquisition of the pub from Enterprise Inns.
The couple bought a neighbouring property to add a bed-and-breakfast offer to Ye Old Sun Inn last year and they also opened Ye Old Deli, selling a range of local produce, including vegetables grown in their garden.
