A YORK-BASED multilingual search agency is hoping to translate a new acquisition into success.

WebCertain, whose head offices are at Poppleton, has snapped up Leeds firm Multidicta Translations Ltd, which provides translation, interpreting and multilingual typesetting and handles more than 140 different languages.

Multidicta’s founder and current managing director Isabella Ballanti will now take charge of a new company titled WebCertain Translates Ltd, and the deal marks the first acquisition for WebCertain, which employs more than 50 people and has doubled in size over the last two years.

Andy Atkins-Krüger, managing director of WebCertain, said: “We have worked with Multidicta for more than three years and they enjoy a well-deserved reputation for providing professional, flexible and accurate language solutions.

“By incorporating their translation services into the WebCertain group, we will become one of the first search agencies with the ability to offer pure SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) translation in-house. We will manage across global websites in multiple languages, ensuring that it is not only user-friendly and appropriate for customers, but that it also has an SEO viewpoint, making it more manageable for search engines.

“By handling all these functions within a single organisation, clients will have the benefit of a much simpler and more cost-efficient services, with projects handled in a seamless manner.”
