FAST-GROWING Fuelcard Company, based in Knaresborough, has a new managing director.

He is Paul Draycott, 45, who spent four years working for First Data Corporation – two of them as the vice-president of Bank of Scotland Merchant Services.

Mr Draycott joins the fuel card reseller at its St James Park headquarters as it rides high, with 12,000 business customers and with the security of Fleetcor, the global fuel card processor which acquired it in May, 2007.

With more than 17 years financial services experience, Mr Draycott brings with him extensive understanding of sales, marketing and business development within the sector.

He said: “I have joined the Fuelcard Company at an exciting time. During the current climate, companies are looking at how to manage their fleets effectively and we can help them achieve this.

“Part of this will be ensuring we offer a proactive customer service strategy.”

The Fuelcard Company recently teamed up with GlobalLive, the market leading real-time tracking and fleet monitoring system, to help customers deliver greater fuel efficiencies. The business also received praise from the world’s largest military installation service, Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES), after developing a streamlined fuel management system which met complex government and international military requirements in only five months.
